They are cone-shaped or round fruits, very juicy and slender (depending on the cultivar).

Their main colour is green, but there are many others such as yellow, brown and, sometimes, reddish. The flesh is usually withe and slightly yellow sometimes, sweet in taste depending on the cultivar, and juicy.

Depending on the level of ripening, the taste of this fruit ranges from sweet, to bitter, from soft to rough.
